Jennie Dwyer

Client Services Manager

As the Client Services Manager, Jennie works with the clients and team to ensure all paperwork is taken care of, to coordinate meetings, and to help answer questions. Prior to joining the Godsey & Gibb/Planned Ahead team 7 years ago, Jennie spent 12 years working in an administrative capacity within various industries. Jennie is here to help keep everyone organized, act as a resource, and to help ensure you have a positive experience.  

Education:

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University

 

What do you like the most about working with Planned Ahead clients?

As a “helper” by nature, my goal is to be a resource for our clients and aid in their positive experience with our firm. I feel like I am successful in my role when our clients are happy and on track. In addition, I also enjoy forming connections and getting to know our clients as I find it creates a stronger working relationship and allows us to both be more successful in helping you achieve your goals. 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my two boys, James and Jacob, and my husband, Jesse. We love exploring new parks and playgrounds, coming up with new science projects, learning about dinosaurs, and having dance parties in the kitchen! In addition, I enjoy going to see live music or attending small music festivals and spending as much time as possible with our extended family (as that is the biggest priority in this season of life).  

If you could give Planned Ahead clients one piece of advice, what would it be?

When any big life event occurs, such as a wedding or new child, it can require a lot of updates in terms of insurance, beneficiaries, etc. It can be helpful to keep a list of your accounts, what accounts are tied to other people, and what beneficiaries are tied to each account in order to simplify the process. This will help you and the Planned Ahead team get through the paperwork associated with these changes more efficiently. Without a list, you may end up scrambling to remember what accounts require updating and it can become much more complicated.
